Residential conveyancing fees
There are various costs you will have to pay when buying or selling a house and the three main types are:
- Legal Fees - these are fees charged by your Solicitor for the legal advice provided.
- Disbursements - these are costs payable by your Solicitor on your behalf such as HM Land Registry fees, Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) etc.
- Third Party Fees - these are costs to third parties and will vary depending on the type of transaction. Examples include:
- Estate agents' fees
- Fees payable to a Landlord (for leasehold property) for the sale pack or notice fees
- The costs of arranging a survey
- Lender fees.

Where the money value is above £1,500,000 the above guides do not apply, please contact us for further information and a guide as to costs.
In addition to the cost listed above there may also be third party costs you should consider such as:
- Estate agent's fees;
- Lender's redemption fees;
- Lender's arrangement fees;
- Freeholder and/or management company fees;
- The cost of arranging a survey.
We use a clear pricing policy but reserve the right to increase the fees stated above if the transaction becomes particularly protracted or complex and will inform you should that become necessary.
