Residential conveyancing fees

There are various costs you will have to pay when buying or selling a house and the three main types are:
  • Legal Fees – these are fees charged by your solicitor for the legal advice provided.
  • Disbursements – these are costs payable by your solicitor on your behalf such as HM Land Registry fees, Stamp Duty Land Tax etc.
  • Third Party Fees – these are costs payable to third parties and will vary depending on the type of transaction. Examples include:
    • Estate agents’ fees
    • Fees payable to a Landlord (for leasehold property) for the sale pack or notice fees
    • The costs of arranging a survey
