Our family lawyers at DPM Legal are members of Resolution, which is a national community of family justice professionals, who work with families and individuals to resolve issues in a constructive way. We firmly believe that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues will produce better outcomes for separating families and their children. We adhere to the Resolution Code of Practice to ensure this is the case.

We are pleased to support Resolution in their "Good Divorce Week" in 2021. We welcome this and want to support a national conversation about how parents can embrace a child-focused approach to divorce and separation. We know that family relationships have come under enormous pressure since the start of the pandemic, and we know that the children of parents who separate can find the experience challenging and impactful on their lives.

Resolution have launched the Parenting through Separation Guide which is a free resource containing information, advice and support to help parents in their journey through separation and beyond. We support Resolution in wanting to get this guide to as many separating families as possible to help parties separate amicably and in the best interest of their children. You can therefore download the guide and we can talk you through any concerns that you have.

We also continue to support the "no fault" divorce process that is due to come into effect in April 2022, and hope that this will also help parties start the process of divorce in a more amicable setting.

If you would like advice and support on separation and divorce then we offer a free initial appointment, either face to face or remotely to discuss your options. We cover all local areas in Godalming and Surrey stretching into Farnham, Badshot Lea, Aldershot etc.
